Cycle 45 is the Emperor confrontation. The fixed major audience offers seven ending routes: peace, surrender, and marriage end immediately; war, world domination, the peace tournament, and Tower Destruction require one of three final battle quests.
Spoiler warning: All newly eligible choices and outcomes are linked below. A route-union entry means the scene can occur on at least one valid history, not that every listed scene can coexist in one playthrough.

Recommended Order
- Resolve the Emperor’s forced major audience before touching the selectable row.
- If you choose peace, surrender, or marriage, the ending begins immediately and there is no Round Table assignment.
- On a battle route, check the exact support conditions and final-party totals before continuing.
- Repair the Knights you need and clear any inherited audience that changes the available roster.
- Assign the final quest now; every Emperor battle has a one-cycle deadline and potentially lethal damage.
- Ordinary battle results continue to the forced Cycle 46 scene. A Tower Destruction win ends at the Cycle 45 boundary instead.
Morning Assembly
Direct story audiences, callbacks, quest results, deaths, and current-cycle injections are assembled before random grievances. Same-character conflicts do not delete a valid delayed scene; they move it to the first later cycle where that character is free.
| Direct audiences before filling | Random grievances added |
|---|---|
| 0 or 1 | 2 or 3 |
| 2 | Exactly 2 |
| 3 | 1 or 2 |
| 4 | Exactly 1 |
| 5 or more | None |
The exact live pool is route-dependent because earlier draws permanently remove wrappers and only a separate location-introduction scene activates a county pack. An Act Three county opening starts its quest chain; it does not activate that county’s random pack by itself.
Fixed and Newly Eligible Audiences
| Scene | Earliest route | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Emperor: Before the Storm | Morning | The Emperor’s fixed major audience resolves before the selectable Cycle 45 row and chooses one of seven ending routes, using three final battle quest resources across the four routes that require an assignment. |
Inherited Route Pool
This stage also carries 43 explicitly linked earlier roots. Their choices are not duplicated here; use the Conditional Audience Choices reference and follow only the entries whose prerequisites your route actually satisfies.
Newly Unlockable Quests
| Quest route | Unlock source | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| The final battle: Peace tournament without Victoria | Emperor: Before the Storm | Choose the matching fight, Golden Key conquest, peace-tournament, or hidden Tower Destruction branch during the fixed Emperor confrontation. |
| The final confrontation: War against the Empire | Emperor: Before the Storm | Choose the matching fight, Golden Key conquest, peace-tournament, or hidden Tower Destruction branch during the fixed Emperor confrontation. |
| World domination: Golden Key world domination | Emperor: Before the Storm | Choose the matching fight, Golden Key conquest, peace-tournament, or hidden Tower Destruction branch during the fixed Emperor confrontation. |
Earlier Quest Results Reaching This Stage
No newly timed earlier assignment group first resolves here in the current static window.
Route Warnings
- A delayed audience’s target is a minimum, not a promise. A shared visitor moves the later addition forward until the first free cycle.
- A death removes that Knight’s already scheduled future audiences before the death announcement is added.
- A newly triggered low-affinity departure is checked after the current morning is assembled, so its departure card targets a later cycle.
- County quest openings and county location introductions are different scenes. Only the latter unlocks a county’s random audience pack.
Emperor Preparation Check
The selected Cycle 32 plan supplies hidden requirements to the war and world-domination quests. You need seven allied counties beyond Brizh; Brizh itself is already counted internally as the starting county.
| Cycle 32 answer | Actual Cycle 45 requirements | Hidden mismatch |
|---|---|---|
| The people of the kingdom will unite under one banner against you. | 7 allied counties beyond Brizh, Nobles 40, Merchants 40, 5,000 funds | People satisfaction is not checked. |
| I shall rally my most powerful allies to this cause. | 7 allied counties beyond Brizh, Nobles 40, Scholars 40, 5,000 funds | No additional mismatch. |
| We will call upon all our mystical expertise - potions, enchantments. | 7 allied counties beyond Brizh, Scholars 40, Nobles 40, 5,000 funds | Mechanically identical to powerful allies. |
The peace tournament does not inherit this support-condition set, but it demands eight Knights and higher total party coverage.
Every Emperor Ending
| Ending | How to choose it | Consequence |
|---|---|---|
| War | Take the fight response on the neutral, Tyrannic, Wise, Kind, or Audacious route. | Unlocks The final confrontation for six Knights. Success forces the war victory in Cycle 46; failure or no assignment forces defeat. |
| World domination | On the Tyrannic or Wise route with the Golden Key, choose the special response about defeating the Emperor and imposing your rule on the world. | Unlocks World domination for six Knights. Success uses the Golden Key war-ending variant in Cycle 46. |
| Peace treaty | On the Wise route choose I wish for unconditional peace while Victoria is recruited. Alternatively, on an Audacious, Kind, or Wise route with the Golden Key, offer it for lasting peace and then hand it over. | Immediate victory in Cycle 45; no battle quest. The Golden Key exchange removes the Key from inventory. |
| Peace tournament | Choose the same Wise peace response while Victoria is not recruited, then accept the tournament. | Unlocks The final battle for eight Knights. Success forces the peace ending in Cycle 46. |
| Surrender | Take the Wise common-future submission or the Kind surrender response. | Immediate surrender ending in Cycle 45; no battle quest. |
| Marriage | On the Audacious route propose marriage, then confirm the union. | Immediate marriage ending in Cycle 45. Prior flirting adds two romantic confirmation choices, but is not required. |
| Tower Destruction | Reach a Tyrannic, Wise, Kind, or Audacious route rather than the neutral route; remain uncorrupted; acquire the Golden Key; recruit Epicrates; and accept his plan in his third affinity scene. Then choose I have the Golden Key, but it will serve my own ends. | Unlocks The final confrontation for six Knights. A win triggers Tower Destruction at the Cycle 45 boundary instead of the normal Cycle 46 victory scene; failure still leads to defeat. Epicrates cannot be killed by this assignment. |
All three battle quests last one cycle, have a one-cycle deadline, and deal potentially lethal damage. Assign the quest now; leaving it open is the same as losing.
